Meet our therapists
Tracy Greer, DOT, MS, OTR/L is the director of Kingstowne Pediatric Occupational
Therapy Center.  Tracy graduated from Temple University in August 2009 earning a Clinical
Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with a concentration in sensory integration.  While at
Temple, Tracy became certified to perform the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test also known
as the SIPT.  Prior to completing her Doctorate she earned her Masters of Science Degree in
Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University in 1998.  Tracy has a variety of work
experience that includes work with adults and children.  She has worked at National
Rehabilitation Hospital @ Washington Hospital Center in acute rehab and at a private
pediatric clinic before opening her own practice in 2005.  She has taken a number of continuing
education courses that include  extensive training in sensory integration theory and practice,  a
variety of auditory based interventions that include therapeutic listening, REI or rhythmic
entrainment, and Berard Auditory Integration Training.  She also has training in Handwriting
Without Tears and Interactive Metronome.  
Beth Winegar, MOT, OTR/L joined the staff at Kingstowne Pediatric
Occupational Therapy Center in May of 2008.  She graduated from Pacific
University with a Masters of Occupational  Therapy in 2000.  Since graduating
Beth completed a 9 month pediatric fellowship through the Child Development
and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) in Portland, Oregon.  After the fellowship,  
Beth worked as a staff therapist for CDRC, providing inpatient and outpatient
services to children, until her move to Virginia in 2007.  She has completed
many continuing education courses that include: training in sensory integration
theory and practice, the therapeutic listening program, multi sensory approach
to handwriting,  DIR floortime, and overall upper body structure and function.
Beth is currently working towards her SIPT Certification which will be
completed in 2010.
Josette Sandvik, COTA, joined the staff at Kingstowne Pediatric
Occupational Therapy Center in August of 2007. Josette graduated in 1999
with her degree as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Her focus on
training the last 9 years has been concentrated in pediatrics using a sensory
integrative approach. She is trained in cranial sacral therapy, interactive
metronome, handwriting without tears, and therapeutic listening.

Allison Harrison, Physical Therapist, joined the staff at Kingstowne Pediatric OT
Center in December of 2009
. Allison received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at
University of Central Arkansas in 1999 after completing her Bachelor of Science degree
from Louisiana Tech University. She has practiced in many patient care settings including
acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, sports medicine clinics, schools, home health, and
private pediatrics. Her particular interests lie in gait dysfunction, orthotics, hippotherapy
and aquatics. Allison’s recent continuing educational courses including CP and Gait,
Integrating NDT, SI and Motor Learning Theory, Dunn’s Sensory Processing course, and
Ready Bodies Learning Minds school-based program.  She began practicing
Hippotherapy in 2006 and is a Level II registered therapist.  Professional memberships
include: American Physical Therapy Association, Virginia APTA, American
Hippotherapy Association and Narha.
Dr. Kathryn Levit , PhD, OTR/L  joined the staff at Kingstowne Pediatric OT Center
in
February of 2010.  She earned her BS in Occupational Therapy from Wayne State
University and a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason
University.  She has been working in occupational therapy since 1977.  Kathryn has
worked in a variety of settings.  From 1984 until 1998, she was a partner in Making
Progress, a private practice specializing in adults and children with neurological disease.  
Since leaving that practice, she has worked as a therapist in the public schools and in
early intervention.  Kathryn has authored a textbook and several book chapters in topics
relevant to occupational therapy, and has presented at numerous conferences. She is NDT
certified in pediatrics and adult hemiplegic, and has taught NDT basic and advanced
courses throughout the United States and Europe.  Currently, she is an adjunt faculty
member in the departments of Psychology and Kinesiology at the University of
Maryland, College Park.
